SimTest is a joint venture launched between Cutest Systems Ltd and Simbec Research Ltd and specializes in pharmaceutical projects for products that interact with the skin. SimTest offers high quality studies into the effects of drugs systemically and locally on the skin.

Cutest has extensive experience of testing products that come into contact with the skin, including topical pharmaceutical products for dermatological use, transdermal delivery systems and wound care products. Many of these studies have been for regulatory purposes and for registration of products both in Europe and the US, including products for skin disorders such as psoriasis and atopic eczema. All studies are ICH GCP compliant and carried out with ethical approval.

Simbec Research Ltd has specialised in early drug development for over 30 years. During this period Simbec has performed more than 1,000 studies with new active substances, biological, new formulations and novel drug delivery systems in a wide range of therapeutic areas including topical drug preperations involving drug delivery via the skin. Simbec Research Ltd is focused on providing an efficient, high quality service for the clinical development of medicinal products to the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Industry. Established in 1976 it has over thirty years experience in the fields of biological matrix drug analysis, human clinical pharmacology and more recently laboratory services and gamma scintigraphy imaging.

On site expertise in pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic evaluations, drug assay development and bioanalysis. Simbec’s 48 bed clinical phamacology unit has a central pharmacy, central laboratory and bioanalytical units all on one site in South Wales, UK.
